LEGENDARY hype-man Fatman Scoop has been added to the bulging Common People bill.

The news comes as a host of local rising stars is announced too including New Forest Indie stars The Magic Gang, invited back after thrilling crowds when they performed at last year's event.

Famed for his UK number 1 hit ‘Be Faithful’ and collaborations with Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson and Skrillex, multi-Grammy winner Fatman Scoop will be taking on the Uncontained Stage on Sunday with his catalogue of hip-hop classics.

The latest fantastic flurry of acts added to the Uncommon Stage line-up not only includes geek-rockers The Magic Gang but also ghost-jazz trio Blaenavon, ‘It’s On’ star LST, and Sunday Best’s own Laucan.

Some of Southampton’s finest local talent will perform too, including The Manatees, The Costellos, The Dead Freights and ‘I Want to Play at Common People’ winners, Mad King Ludwig & the Mojo Co. and Submariner.

Organiser Rob da Bank said: “We got the show off to a flying start with two massive headliners in Pete Tong, The Heritage Orchestra & Jules Buckley and Sean Paul, not to mention a huge line-up of great bands and DJs. Now we are putting the icing on the cake with livewire, force of nature Fatman Scoop and some cracking indie action from the likes of The Magic Gang and Blaenavon, and some of the best local acts we could find including the winners of our I Want to Play at Common People competition, so let’s be havin’ ya… See you down the front!”

Tier 1 tickets are only available until Monday 3rd April so get in quick before the price increases. VIP tickets also selling out fast!
