CELEBRITY chef Tommy Miah visited a Southampton curry house to launch some sizzling new recipes.
The dishes on show at Kuti’s brassiere in Oxford Street were from the winning entrants in the International Indian Chef of the Year competition, an award which Tommy founded in 1991.
Kuti’s manager Omi Joshi is excited that his customers will be able to taste the new creations, which include chicken chacuti, dry aromatic chicken and special stir fried rice on a poppadom roll.
He said: “We are delighted that Tommy Miah could come here.
“I hope that in the future one of our chefs can win International Indian Chef of the Year.”
Tommy Miah is recognised as the ‘Curry King’ of Britain and his CV includes delivering a curry lunch-box to 10 Downing Street for John Major’s 50th birthday.
