HAMPSHIRE farmers are preparing to set up shop in a quayside community for a festival of food next month.

The Hampshire Farmers’ Markets producers are looking forward to being a part of the Hamble Valley Festival of Food.

The market will be a chance for producers to show off their regional produce and treats on offer will include award-winning cheeses and pies, chocolate, beer, fudge, bread, game, honey, plants, fish, homemade cakes, sausages, poultry and more.

The market will be held on Saturday, September 5 from 10am till 4pm and is a big event for the Hampshire Farmers’ Market.

Business manager Alex Hanford said: “The Hampshire Farmers’ Market offers a traditional way of purchasing fresh produce direct from the producers, and supporting small local food businesses, we are looking forward to bringing our market and producers to Hamble and look forward to planning more for 2016.”

The Hamble Valley Festival of Food is organised by The Marketing Collective which manages the Hamble Valley destination brand.

Their aim is to promote the best in local food and drink suppliers, restaurants, pubs and food shops, and offer a family fun-filled day of tasty events for local residents and visitors.

Jo Andrews, managing director at The Marketing Collective, said: “We’re excited to be bringing the event back to Hamble and to start our campaign of putting the Hamble Valley back on the visitor map."

We are passionate about showcasing the local producers and suppliers, businesses and organisations which make the destination unique and one that shouldn’t be missed.”
