FOOD fans across Hampshire are being asked to transport their family and friends back in time for a fundraising event next month.
Support charity, Marie Curie is calling on people across the county to take a trip down memory lane to help it raise vital funds.
The charity wants people all over Hampshire to host retro inspired dinner parties to raise money in November.
The fundraising campaign has been dubbed Dinner Down Memory Lane.
It asks people to focus on recreating favourite nostalgic foods.
The money raised from each dinner party will be used to help Marie Curie provide more free care to people living with terminal illness and their families.
Sally Sansom, community fundraiser for Marie Curie, said: “We’re really looking forward to seeing what the local community cooks up – whether it be a classic recipe from the past or putting a new twist on an old favourite.
“Holding a ‘Dinner Down Memory Lane’ is a great alternative to a normal dinner party and by inviting friends to make a donation in return for a dinner with a difference.
“You’ll be helping Marie Curie Nurses to provide care and support to people living with a terminal illness and their families.
