A RESTAURANT group which has venues across the county are the latest to pledge their support to Hampshire’s homeless.

Southampton’s Grand Cafe, Ennio’s, Banana Wharf and Romsey’s Cromwell Arms, which are part of the Delicious Dining group, have signed up to the Daily Echo backed StreetSmart campaign.

Throughout November and December diners will be asked to donate a voluntary £1 per table at the end of their meal. The money will go straight to Southamptonbased charity The Society of St James, who offer shelter, support and food to the county’s most vulnerable.

A spokesman for Delicious Dining, said: “Delicious Dining group are delighted to be able to support this StreetSmart initiative to benefit the homeless of our community.”

He added the restaurants hope the initiative will be a “great success during the Christmas period.”
