Luigi is back on a mission to remove a bunch of stubborn ghosts from some spooky mansions.
Armed with his trusty Poltergust ghost-sucking vacuum cleaner, Mario's less high-profile brother is afforded centre stage on 3DS, and this more than matches the marvellous GameCube original.
Brilliantly crafted missions in a host of creepy settings widen the environment from the first game's single haunted mansion.
Capturing those pesky phantoms never gets repetitive because, like all of the finest Nintendo-engineered worlds, gameplay innovation and exploration provide almost endless entertainment.
Luigi is an absolute star - a muted, thinking man's Mario perhaps - whose character provides more light and shade, as the gloomy setting and his indispensable torch will echo.
It's classic Nintendo gaming, all crammed on to the sexiest of handheld systems - what's not to like?
SCORE: 9 / 10
PROS: Innovative gameplay.
