AN ERIC Clapton tribute band are playing at a theatre in the south while their inspiration celebrates 50 years in the music industry.

Following their sell-out success last year at the Regent in Christchurch, Classic Clapton are back at the Centre on Saturday, September 13 at 7.30pm.

During the two-hour show the whole of Eric’s illustrious career is covered, including Cream, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, The Yardbirds, Blind Faith, Derek & The Dominos and the solo years.

Joining front man Mike Hall in Classic Clapton are Paul Warren on keyboards, Danny Davison on drums, and Dave Robson as bass guitarist.

In their 29 years on the road, Classic Clapton have become something of a rock institution, touring throughout the UK including numerous sell out shows.
