THERE was a punch in the air when a Southampton football coach’s band got through to the next round of X Factor.
Shouts of “Come On” were heard when Tom Mann and his band Stereo Kicks were told they would be surviving for another week on the talent show.
There was ecstatic jumping up and down when Dermot O’Leary told them, the studio crowd and the audience at home that they would be fighting another week on the ITV show.
The eight-piece boy band got the audience’s seal of approval when they performed Bobby Darin’s Mack The Knife on Saturday night after making a last-minute change of plans the night before.
With an accompanying swing band and dressed in tuxedos Tom, 21, and his band mates crooned the notes while the audience swooned.
Soloist Jay James was sent packing after the audience voted to keep Stevi Ritchie.
