YOUNG thespians from Hampshire were rocking all night long when they starred at a leading West End theatre.

Pupils from Stagecoach Theatre Arts groups in Fareham and Hedge End performed We Will Rock You at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London.

The youngsters were joined by children from Stagecoach schools across the country who were singing numbers from popular musicals including Hairspray, Les Miserables and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

It sparked huge excitement among the pupils to tread the same boards as some of the country’s greatest stars.

Lisa Medhurst, principal of both Hampshire groups, said: |“I am delighted that pupils from my school had the opportunity to perform in this iconic venue.

“Everyone has had a brilliant time rehearsing for the production and it was great to see them on stage.

“Performances like this showcase the hard work of our students, providing them with memorable experiences and life skills which they can use throughout their careers.”

Both schools are part of a network of more than 600 part-time theatre arts schools.

They feature early stages classes for four to six-year-olds and main school sessions for those aged six to 18.
