TICKETS for next year's Isle of Wight Festival went on sale this morning with the announcement that Paolo Nutini will be appearing at the legendary event.

Already this week fans can take delight that Pharrell Williams, Fleetwood Mac, The Prodigy and The Black Keys will be talking to the stage.

The weekend, from June 11 to 14, sees vintage rockers Fleetwood Mac headline on Sunday while The Prodigy and The Black Keys will headline on Friday, with the British dance-rock pioneers closing the set.

Pharrell Williams is not headlining but is due to appear on stage on the Saturday performing his smash-hit song Happy.

Organiser John Giddings said people should be lining up to buy tickets.

He said: “There’s something for everyone. It makes me laugh when I first did the festival they didn’t believe real groups would be coming the first year.

“There will be a lot of entertainment from the past, present and future. It’s all about good music. It’s not about good singles, it’s about artists that can provide entertainment.”

Tickets go on sale at 9am.
