Motown soul diva on south coast
AN ICON of soul will be taking the clock back at a Bournemouth theatre next year when she appears as part of a seven-date UK tour.
Gladys Knight, pictured, is performing all her classic hits when she heads to the Bournemouth International Centre on Saturday, July 4.
The audience can expect to hear renditions of songs such as Midnight Train To Georgia, Help Me Make It Through The Night, James Bond tune Licence To Kill, and The Way We Were.
Motown act Gladys Knight began her music career in the 1950s when she performed alongside her brother, sister and cousins in ‘The Pips’ before becoming Gladys Knight and The Pips.
