A SOUTHAMPTON venue is relaunching to give nearly 1,000 fans the chance to watch live music.
The MJR Group has announced the launch of the Engine Rooms after rebranding Mo Club in West Quay Road.
The venue, which has hosted the likes of Bastille and Mallory Knox, is undergoing a full renovation to enable it to hold capacities of 400, 600 and 800 to accommodate the expansion.
Venue owners say it will host live music, comedy, theatre, cinema, exhibitions and bespoke festivals, alongside its existing Warehouse club nights.
Initial shows announced for the venue next year include The Used on February 5, Hawkwind on March 9, Big Country on May 23, and Chas and Dave on November 21.
Mike Jones, of the MJR Group, said: “We’re really excited about the possibilities with this venue.
“Bringing production, marketing, booking, ticketing and everything in between in-house is giving us great flexibility and fills a vital gap in the market along the whole south coast.”
