A SELL-out concert at the Lighthouse Poole greeted Rumer on the first leg of an 11-day UK tour.

The singer/songwriter, pictured, also known as Sarah Joyce, thanked the crowd for coming to the concert but it was entirely the audience’s pleasure.

They were completely enthralled and captivated with her flawless vocals – her velvet tone was to be savoured.

Starting with the toe-tapping Dangerous she encouraged us to sing with her.

It was so evident that the audience were in total appreciation of her beautiful singing that our ears and hearts were required this evening and not our voices.

Reach Out was deeply moving and Aretha perfection. The haunting lyrics to Slow received much appreciation.

It was so gratifying to see the obvious closeness with her excellent supporting musicians on stage – in particular the wonderfully talented Rob Shirakbari from Arkansas.

Rumer and Rob are looking forward to their wedding in May, their smiles on stage were delightful.

The ensemble enjoyed performing the uplifting Play Your Guitar with abundant passion.

Music is at the heart here. Rumer dedicated the touching lyrics of Better Place to the audience.

The roof lifting encore brought an emotional Rumer back to the centre stage – there were tears as she explained she had many loved ones in the audience with her.

Her subsequent performance of Thankful was truly inspiring – a world class start to a tour that takes her to Europe and the US.
