AN Evening of Flamenco is presented at the Regent in Christchurch on Saturday, June 27 at 7.30 pm. This is the fourth annual visit by Southbourne-based Ester’s Flamenco Academy.
Ester Tal is a professional flamenco dancer and choreographer who is bringing her students, supported by professional artists for a flamenco show full of exhilarating footwork, exciting choreography and pulsating music.
Amongst the professional artists will be Flamenco guitarist Uri Tal and international Flamenco singer Luis El Mono.
Uri began his studies in Madrid in the flamenco academy, Amor de Dios, before studying further at Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia.
Luis made his singing debut aged just 13.
The show’s costumes are all part of the Flamenco experience, with the ladies’ bright, frilled dresses contrasting with the men’s black hats, jackets and trousers.
Fans will flutter and castanets will fly.
