IT’S the Supreme Queen Concert Show That’s Rocking The Nation.

Forty years ago Freddie Mercury and his band Queen had been gigging at relatively obscure venues like the Paddocks in Canvey Island, the Greyhound pub in Croydon and the Winter Garden, Cleethorpes – a far cry from the release of a number one single that was about to turn them into a supergroup. . . Bohemian Rhapsody.

In 1975 the ground-breaking record hurtled to the top of the charts, enjoying 14 weeks at the top of the UK singles chart and going triple platinum in the UK and quadruple platinum in the States.

Critically-acclaimed stage show Champions of Rock celebrates the 40th anniversary of Bohemian Rhapsody with an extra-special concert show.

It plays Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Thursday, August 27.

Daily Echo:

Show promoter Michael Taylor, of leading theatre show company Easy Theatres, says that the classic song will climax an evening of hit songs from two legendary artists, Queen and Meatloaf, celebrated for their live performances.

“It will be an unforgettable night,” he says, “that superbly recreates the fun, musicianship and showmanship of Queen’s famed live performances.

“It’s a chance to join the ultimate musical journey through the decades.”

The show promises to recreate the time when Queen reigned supreme, releasing chart-topping singles We are the Champions, We Will Rock You, A Kind of Magic, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, I Want to Break Free, Somebody to Love, Another One Bites the Dust and, of course, Bohemian Rhapsody.

Champions of Rock bills itself as “a crazy big thing, a scintillating night out” and promises to entertain, exhilarate and regally rock you till you drop.
