A POPULAR Southampton vocalist will be putting his heart and soul into his latest performance.

Malc Eyers singer with Southampton-based R&B band Rufus Stone underwent successful quadruple heart bypass surgery in 2010.

Since then Malc, 57, who has been singing with Rufus Stone since band formed in 1984, and his wife Heather have raised funds for Wessex Heartbeat.

Now Malc’s musical buddies have volunteered to perform at a special concert in aid of cardio charity at the Concorde Club on Friday 9September 11).

During Malc’s recuperation his place in Rufus Stone was taken by Jack White of the Love Soul Choir which will be taking part in the show.

Malc also sings with rock group Strapped for Cash –  including keyboard player Sean McMenemy, son of Lawrie, and Hampshire Cricket chairman Rod Bransgrove on guitar – who complete Friday night’s line-up
