JOHN Parish and his band – Marta Collica, Giorgia Poli, Jean-Marc Butty and Jeremy Hogg – are playing an exclusive show at The Railway in Winchester tonight before heading to Aalborg’s Northern Winter Beat festival in the Northern tip of Denmark.

The shows will feature new songs from Parish’s forthcoming album as well as music from his previous albums and film scores, along with some special guest appearances.

John Parish is an accomplished composer, solo artist, producer and collaborator, known for his work with PJ Harvey, Eels, Giant Sand and others.

Parish has been writing for film, theatre and contemporary dance since the late ‘90s when his first score for Rosie won the Jury Special Appreciation Award at the 1999 Bonn International Film & TV Music Biennale. His score for Toye’s Little Black Spiders (2012) was nominated for an Ensor.

He also wrote the music for Ursula Meier’s L'Enfant d'en Haut, winner of the special Silver Bear at the 2012 Berlin Film Festival.

As a producer, Parish has been responsible for a string of ground breaking albums, most recently PJ Harvey’s Mercury Prize winning Let England Shake.

As an artist, he has co-authored two albums with PJ Harvey, one album with Eels and released three albums under his own name.
