A NEW compilation album will showcase a host of Southampton musical talents.

The city's own FooR, a group of producers, musicians and DJs, is releasing FooR present YosH Vol 1 tomorrow.

The album features 20 previously unheard garage, house and bass tracks. Every single producer on the album is from the South Coast, with all but one of them coming from Southampton.

It also features MC Alistair from the Artful Dodger, as well as other local artists including Aaron Soul, MC Jukie and Harry Fisher, who made it to the final of this year's The Voice on BBC 1.

FooR present YosH Vol 1 has been mixed and compiled by Southampton DJ and Speakerbox resident Bitr8. As well as being a household name with South Coast clubbers, Bitr8 has been a staunch supporter of emerging genres and artists in the ever changing dance music scene. One of the most experienced DJs around, he's graced the stages of some of the UK's biggest festivals such as Creamfields and The Isle of Wight, as well as holding residencies at some of the best clubs in the world including the legendary Space Ibiza and BCM Majorca.

FooR go on tour to promote the album throughout May and June with nationwide dates, including local stops at Soundclash Festival on Sunday May 1 and Common People on Sunday May 29.

Gavin Foord of FooR said: " This album is not only to showcase our sound as DJs & producers but to showcase up and coming talent we believe in whether it be Producers, Artists or DJs."

Since FooR burst onto the scene in September 2014 with their reworking of the UK Garage classic I'm Sorry, they have gone from strength to strength, appearing on Radio 1 among other stations.

At the end of last year, FooR signed a deal with Believe Digital to launch their own label YosH. Stand Up was FooR's first release on the label.

This year, they head to some of the country’s biggest festivals.
