ROD Stewart will be supported by his daughter's band The Sisterhood on his sold out Hampshire stadium date next month.

Ruby Stewart and bandmate Alyssa Bonagura produce a soulful and poetic signature sound.

The US-based band will join the rocker for his entire UK Hits tour, which is set to grace sports stadiums the length and breadth of the country, including Hampshire Cricket's Ageas Bowl on Friday June 10.

Rod Stewart told the Daily Echo: “It will be an absolute pleasure to be going to work with my daughter. Not many Dads can say that.”

With his singular voice, narrative songwriting and passionate live performances, Rod Stewart is one of the most successful and enduring musicians of all time. In a career spanning more than five decades, he has amassed sales of more than 200 million albums and singles worldwide.

Throughout his career Rod's garnered two inductions into the coveted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, won a Grammy, the ASCAP Founders Award for songwriting, and in 2007 was bestowed Commander of the British Empire (CBE) by the Queen.

The new album Another Country was released in 2015 following the huge success of 2012’s Time which entered the UK Albums Chart at No. 1, setting a new British record for the longest gap between chart-topping albums by an artist - while in the US, it marked Stewart's highest-charting album of original material since 1979.

In 2012, Stewart became a New York Times bestselling author with the release of his autobiography Rod.

Rod Stewart’s fully seated outdoor tour is being presented by Cuffe and Taylor whose director Peter Taylor said: “We’re delighted to have The Sisterhood joining us on the Rod Stewart Hits Tour for 2016.

“The fact that Rod’s own daughter is going to be on the bill will only add to the experience and make this tour that little bit more special.

“The tour venues are all across the UK which means fans from up and down the country will get the chance to see Rod live doing what he does best.”
