BUDDING musicians can take to the stage graced by hundreds of rock n roll stars with The Brook Big B and Summer School in conjunction with The Academy of Music and Sound.
The Brook, which just this month hosts The SAS Band and Midge Ure, is launching the big band summer school for students aged 11 to 19.
Organisers are looking for budding musicians from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to join them for a week, working with expert tutors and top professionals in the music industry, learning and improving a whole array of skills through master classes, workshops and one to one tuition.
Two courses will culminate in a finale Big Band Jazz Sounds concert.
An open evening and informal auditions will be held at Academy of Music and Sound on May 24 at 7pm, so bring your instruments along, have a jam with the tutors and show off what you can do.
Courses will take place on the weeks beginning August 1 and 8 with the concert on August 14.
