COMMON People stage times and complete listings can now be revealed.

The two day shindig on Southampton Common this weekend includes dozens of international stars, well known artists, DJs and local bands over four stages.

Hotly tipped Southampton four piece Wild Front will open the entire event on the main Common Stage ahead of appearances by the likes of Sunday night headliners Duran Duran and Craig David with his homecoming TS5 gig.

The band, who only formed a year ago, are already attracting industry interest after releasing their self-titled debut EP in December.

With influences ranging from 80s rock to alternative indie bands like Foals, their tracks are catchy foot tappers.

The Common Stage also plays hosts to the likes of Primal Scream, Katy B, Public Enemy and more bizarre acts including The Chuckle Brothers, rockney legends Chas & Dave, The Cuban Brothers and Mr Motivator.

Local urban music collective M.E.R.C.Y open the Uncontained Stage, which is taken over by David Rodigan presents Ram Jam on Sunday, while The Uncommon Stage is curated by The Joiners and Junk host Saturday at The Bug Bar.

Common People is the brainchild of the team behind Bestival and returns following a successful inaugural event in 2015, as well as adding a second event in Oxford.

Preparations are almost complete for the weekend with stages being built and road closures announced.

Curator Rob da Bank, who grew up in Warsash said: “Common People was one of my funnest weekends festivaling in 2015, and believe me there was some competition!

"Hope you can come and sing along with the Common People!”
