Winner of a 2013 MacArthur ‘Genius’ Fellowship, the 2014 Avery Fisher Prize, and Musical America’s 2014 Instrumentalist of the Year award, American pianist Jeremy Denk made a memorable Turner Sims debut in 2015 performing Bach concertos with Britten Sinfonia.
He returns to open the venue's autumn season with a fascinating centuries-spanning programme in which he charts the history of Western music from the Medieval and Renaissance worlds of Binchois, Byrd, and Frescobaldi to Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms, and the modernists Debussy, Prokofiev, Ligeti, and back to Binchois.
Tickets for the concert, on Tuesday, are available by calling 023 8059 5151 or visiting turnersims.co.uk
