HEDGE End Music Festival draws to a close this weekend with two spectacular concerts featuring artists from around the world.
Direct from the clubs of Cuba with an intoxicating fusion of Spanish and African rhythms with a contemporary edge, Son Yambu takes to the stage at Berry Theatre tomorrow. With a fluid line-up of the best Cuban musicians around, Son Yambu promise to provide the hottest February night ever.
Led by enigmatic Canadian chanteuse Katya Gorrie, Moscow Drug Club inhabits a world where 1930’s Berlin Cabaret, Hot Club de France, Nuevo Tango and Gypsy Campfire meet New Orleans. These top musicians bring the first Hedge End Music Festival to a fittingly quirky finale on Sunday.
The festival, organised by Hedge End Carnival Committee, has included five nights of wonderfully eclectic music this month.
Organisers have aimed to produce a festival vibe without the muddy field.
