ANOTHER big This Feeling line-up in Southampton sees two up and coming touring bands play alongside a pair of local favourites next Friday ( May 5).

Liverpool’s Sugarmen are joined by Londoners Paves and popular Southampton performers Calum Lintott and The Manatees.

The headliners - Luke Fenlon, guitarist Chay Heney, bassist Tom Shields and drummer Sam McVann – are finishing a ten date tour that’s taken their infectious guitar sounds and tidy lyrics across Britain, including sold out dates in Sheffield and in their home city.

They’ve just released latest single Sold, two and a half minutes of high voltage adrenaline which has been championed by Radio One’s Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart.

Debut song Dirt was produced by Mick Jones of The Clash and recorded in Paul Weller’s home studio. The band signed to Warner Brothers’ Sire Records last summer.

The lads have also had a taste of the big time supporting rock legends The Who and indie giants Blur in Hyde Park in 2015 and joining Paul Weller on some of his headline shows in the north. They’ve even played one of the biggest music festivals in South Korea.

Songwriter Calum was last at The Joiners for This Feeling in March with hotly-tipped Bolton band Jordan Allen and Sheffield’s rising stars SHEAFS.

Sugarmen headline This Feeling at The Joiners on Friday May 5. Tickets £5 adv, £6 on the door. More at joinerslive.co.uk
