EXCITING young grunge band Hands Off Gretel are at The Talking Heads, Southampton tonight (Friday May 12.)

Described by critics as a new wave of 90's nostalgia, the four piece band from South Yorkshire are a force to be reckoned with. Since launching in February 2015, the band has been making their mark on the UK music scene, winning fans in Shirley Manson, Linda Perry and Kate Nash.

Back in September 2016, the band launched their first 13 track studio album 'Burn The Beauty Queen' after running a successful crowdfunding campaign backed entirely by their online fanbase.

Taking her inspiration from the 90's underground feminist punk movement, Hands Off Gretel's frontwoman Lauren Tate has made it her mission to ensure that strong young women have a voice in today's music industry. A powerhouse of creativity, Tate is also responsible for the band's videos and album artwork, and designs all of Hands Off Gretel's merchandise herself.

They are playing at The Talking Heads, 16-22 The Polygon, Southampton, SO15 2BN.

Doors: 7.30pm. Tickets: £6.
