THE World Champion beatboxer, singer-songwriter, producer and live looping technologist SK Shlomo will make a very intimate appearance at a Southampton venue on Friday.
Known for collaborating with artists including Bjork and Damon Albarn ,SK Shlomo has also worked with The Specials, Bassment Jaxx, Newton Faulkner, Ed Sheeran, Rudimental, Jarvis Cocker and Lily Allen to name but a few.
He is a regular at major festivals such as Glastonbury and Bestival and will be using the intimate gig at The Alexandra Beer Emporium in Bellevue Road to try out some new material before he hits some major festivals, including Boomtown Fair, this summer.
SK Shlomo first reached an international audience through his 2004 collaboration with Bjork and a 2005 solo performance on BBC2’s Later With Jools Holland.
SK Shlomo will appear as a special guest of local singer Grant Sharkey, who is currently in the middle of his own UK tour, titled Rational Front, a mammoth 50 plus date tour which saw him make three appearances at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
