A POPULAR performer at European festivals, from Colne to Skegness, Marcus Malone released his seventh album, A Better Man, this summer and is coming to Forest Arts on Saturday as part of a UK-wide tour.

Growing up in Detroit, Marcus Malone dabbled with gospel, Motown, heavy rock and punk before he was signed by United Artists Records at the age of 16 and recorded a classic heavy metal album. He relocated to the UK in 1976 to concentrate on creating rocking blues and he’s become an established and respected member of the British blues scene, appearing at the Albert Hall with BB King and recording with Jet Tricks.

Throughout his long and illustrious career Marcus Malone has continued to develop as a vocalist, songwriter and performer.
