Tonight: Kings and Castles launch new songs at Heartbreakers, Southampton

LOCAL INDIE rockers Kings and Castles play a headline show in Southampton tonight to launch their debut EP and latest single.

Frontman Ross, lead guitarist Potter, bassist Louis and drummer Matt are headlining Heartbreakers in Hanover Buildings on the same day that they release new song Friday Nights and their first compilation Numbers.

The Hampshire band signed a record deal with London label Tonotopic in September and were last seen playing in the south at The Wedgewood Rooms and The Alex. Previous singles Love Is The Word and Nowhere Left to Hide were recorded at Portsmouth’s Blacksmiths Records Studio and drummer Matt was previously in Southampton band Lonely Dakota.

Also on tonight’s bill are Southampton’s The Collision, The Bedroom Text and ChaWk. Tickets at seetickets.com or £5 on the door.

Kings and Castles next appear at Icebreaker Festival, Southsea on February 2-3 alongside other local acts including Costellos, Pioneers, Bel Esprit, The Collision, Eyes to The Skies and Temples of Youth. They return to Heartbreakers as special guests of Nottingham duo Deco on Thursday March 22.
