SYNTH pop duo Erasure will return to Southampton next week.

Their extensive UK and European tour will see them headline the city’s O2 Guildhall on Thursday February 15.

Last year Erasure duo Andy Bell and Vince Clarke supported Robbie Williams on his stadium tour at St Mary’s.

And in 2016 they celebrated their 30th anniversary with a series of special releases looking back on a time which has seen them pen 200 songs and sell over 25 million albums worldwide.

Love You To The Sky is the band’s latest hit, taken from their new studio album World Be Gone, the band’s latest studio album, which went into the UK Official Albums Chart at No. 6, their highest new entry in the album chart since 1994’s I Say I Say I Say.

The enduring BRIT and Ivor Novello winning pop duo have released a staggering number of albums, including 5 UK Number 1’s and 17 top 10 singles (35 singles charted in the UK Top 40) both the new album and the recent best of, Always, saw Erasure entering the Top 10 album charts once again.

World Be Gone sees the award-winning songwriters in a reflective mood, giving the world and recent political upheavals a thoughtful examination and, as highlighted on artwork showing a ship’s masthead rising up from being submerged in the stormy waters looking to the future.

*Bright Light Bright Light is the sole support to Erasure at the Southampton Guildhall.

As seen on Graham Norton, the Elton John / Scissor Sisters collaborator and Welsh music prize nominated nu-disco artist is touring with latest album ‘Choreography’.
