Matt Cardle will be showing off his songwriting talents from the last decade at The Concorde Club tomorrow night (Friday February 23).

As the resounding winner of The X Factor’s highest rating series ever in 2010 - the same year that One Direction came third. Matt stunned over 19 million viewers with his breathtaking four-octave vocal range.

Following his victory on The X Factor, the winner’s single and his debut single, When We Collide, was released - it debuted at number-one on the UK Singles Chart and became the second biggest-selling single of 2010 with 815,000 copies sold within two weeks. In June 2012 it had sold 1 million copies, the fourth single by an X Factor contestant to have done so.

The Brit Award nominee has since gone on to sell over 2.2 million records in the UK including a number of hit singles, such as Run for Your Life, Amazing, It's Only Love, Anyone Else and When You Were My Girl.

But, perhaps the most unique among his achievements is his 2015 award for Best West End Debut, won for his show-stopping stage performance alongside Beverly Knight in the acclaimed West End production of Memphis.

Matt was born in Southampton but grew up in Halstead, Essex. He has been involved in music since his early teens and has been a member of two different bands, Darwyn and Seven Summers, with whom he experienced limited success before his X Factor performance saw him launch his career.
