LOS Angeles and Boston based KOLARS will play at The Joiners, Southampton on Wednesday April 4.

KOLARS have created a sonic world that straddles self-described genres such as Desert Disco, R&Beyond, Space Blues and Glam-a-billy.

The duo features Rob Kolar on guitar and vocals and Lauren Brown on drums. While those titles might sound simple, KOLARS play their unique blend of 70s glam rock, 90s grunge and twangy country with every inch of their body.

Rob sings and strums his rollicking guitar, and Lauren uses her whole body as a percussive instrument – she tap dances rhythms with her feet atop a bass drum while simultaneously playing a full stand-up drum kit.

The two perform with energy, sweat and excitement, thrilling audiences with their unabashed exuberance.

KOLARS have shared bills with Spoon, The Kills, Hurray For The Riff Raff, Big Thief, Mac DeMarco, STRFKR, Mondo Cozmo, Ride, Gang of Four, Shakey Graves, Sylvan Esso, Benjamin Booker, Japanese Breakfast, Starcrawler and Unknown Mortal Orchestra.

They have played over 200 shows since 2016 and have spent the past two years successfully headlining national and international tours, including performing at Rolling Stone Magazine’s Weekender, London Calling, The Great Escape, Canadian Music Week, Dot to Dot and many many more.

As members of glam-folk band He's My Brother She's My Sister, Rob and Lauren toured the U.S. and Europe extensively and sold out venues in every major city across the states and have now taken their influences and experiences into a new futuristic realm.

The duo released their debut self-titled album in 2017 to wide critical acclaim.
