THE world famous vintage dance band Pasadena Roof Orchestra is coming to Nuffield Southampton Campus (NST Campus) tomorrow for one-night-only.

The vintage dance band will entertain with an evening of sounds from the golden era of music.

Audiences can expect a fun-packed show laced with a liberal dose of wit and humour, featuring timeless classics from the Great American Songbook which made household names of singers such as Bing Crosby, Al Bowlly and Fred Astaire.

The Orchestra will also perform beautifully arranged songs from great British dance bands like Irving Berlin, Ray Noble, Cole Porter and their contemporaries, as well as electrifying hot jazz from Fletcher Henderson and Duke Ellington.

The show will be presented by suave singer and band leader Duncan Galloway.

For more than 40 years, Pasadena Roof Orchestra has been entertaining audiences around the world with its authentic 1920s and 1930s style, technically brilliant delivery, rousing atmosphere and light-hearted musical style.

This special, one-off performance is part of NST’s brand new programme of music, made possible by the opening of its second venue in Southampton city centre, NST City. Previous performances have included Southampton rockers Band of Skulls, and Grammy award winner and original member of the internationally acclaimed Snarky Puppy, Bill Laurance.
