ELECTRIC Eel Shock will be at the Joiners on Thursday July 5.

Formed in Tokyo in the '90s, Electric Eel Shock left their native Japan at the end of the millennium to see what they could make of America and the rest of the world.

Now, 16 years into the 21st century, the band continue to tour the world playing to an ever increasing and loyal fanbase.

Electric Eel Shock are a glorious celebration of classic rock, punk and metal. A true power trio from the time before rock became fractured into a diverse multitude of sub-genres and we were all still one big happy rock and roll family.

2018 is the band’s 24th year and sees the release of their 9th studio album. They have toured 33 countries around the world on four continents and performed at pretty much every major rock festival in Europe.

Highlights for the band include headlining a stage at the prestigious Roskilde Festival in Denmark and Bonnaroo – one of biggest US festivals, following The Black Crowes and closing the main stage at Azkenna Rock Festival in Spain, playing every state in America except Alaska and Hawaii, performing at SXSW 4 times, playing with a full orchestra at Beached Festival in Scarborough and touring with Bloodfound Gang, Turbonegro, Danko Jones, Sepalutra, The Framing Sideburn, The Datsons, supporting The Subways, The Answer, Enter Sikari, kvelertak, and Dutch legend Peterpan Speedrock in Japan and their last Eindvohen show.

Support comes from Cold Silver, antigerone and Diesel Noi. Don’t miss this amazing rock’n’roll experience!
