SOME of Southampton’s finest musicians will come together for a charity gig at The Brook next month.
The pre-Christmas spectacular, on Tuesday, December 11, has been organised by Rufus Stone lead singer Malc Eyers, pictured, and his wife Heather in aid of the heart unit which saved his life.
Rufus Stone will be joined on stage by The Tim Payne Band, the Ben Dlugockecki Band, Steely Scam and the Charley Macaulay Band. The event will benefit Wessex Heartbeat’s new £500,000 HIGH 5 Appeal.
Malc told Your Entertainment: “I only realised I had heart problems when I started to feel unwell – the next thing I knew, I was having open heart surgery and needed a quadruple heart bypass.
“The cardiac centre at the General was fantastic – the dedication and care of the staff second to none. They are the reason I am still here today, still singing and still part of the band.”
l Tickets, priced £10, are on sale from The Brook box office.
