SOUTHAMPTON singer-songwriter Charley Macaulay is to run her own music school in the city.

Charley, who won the Under-18 Live and Unsigned national competition in 2009, has gone on to record her first album, perform at some of Britain’s biggest festivals and support stars from Will Young to Anastacia – before she has even turned 20.

Now she is hoping to inspire the next generation of young talent by teaching children from the age of seven how to make the most of their voices – and how to write a hit song.

She is working with Vocademy, which runs singing classes at The Bar Quarter, Leisure World, in West Quay Road, Southampton, to help children become pitchperfect and gain confidence.

See vocademy.co.uk for more details of how to get involved in the school.
