STUDENTS from Southampton’s Academy of Music and Sounds are to host a sparkling musical showcase in aid of Cancer Research.
Solo acts and bands will take to the stage at the Joiners on Thursday to show off their talents – and what they have been learning this term.
The Academy, on Chapel Road, are responsible for teaching some of Southampton's finest, most prestigious acts and also work closely with River Studios.
They also hold termly masterclasses, meaning industry professionals are invited in to perform and teach.
This term, the final one of their first year, sees the students create, co-ordinate and organise a gig.
The event is set to showcase a range of acoustic duos and punk bands.
Tickets cost £5.
