AN INTERNATIONAL superstar helped to make a Hampshire festival “the best yet”, according to organisers.

James Blunt drew a record crowd of 7,000 on the opening night and gave a stunning 90-minute show to delight fans who braved the rain.

His presence also boosted the profile of the festival drawing fans from as far away as America and Australia to the Hampshire village.

Organiser Peter Chegwyn said the success left him wondering how to top it next year.

Next year’s festival will be held from August 6 to 9. Those who book before September 1 can save £50 as well as have the chance to win a T-shirt signed by Blunt.
