ONE of Winchester’s biggest bands is set to begin their next tour.
In Cold Blood sees Scarlet Soho travel across Europe, starting with Lennons in Southampton on January 22.
The duo are due to release their next album of the same name on February 13.
They return to Winchester’s the Railway Inn on February 20 and will also headline in Parish, Antwerp, Vienna, Hanover and Berlin.
It is the follow-up album to Warpaint, in 2009.
Produced by James Yuill, Graham Laybourne and Zanzibar Production, as well as Scarlet Soho themselves – James Knights and Scarlet – In Cold Blood is described as “by far their strongest yet”.
The third studio album opens with a lone piano and a line “you shot me down in cold blood” before leading into a three-and-a-half minute synthesized melody-cum-electro stomp.
It features such tracks as When the lights go out, What you need and Two steps from Heartache, and is a heady mix of sleazy jazz, disco dance and grinding bass. Pre-order the album at scarletsohoshop.bigcartel.com.
