ACE-melting riffs and highoctane punk will be on the menu as a Hampshire venue hosts a heavy rock night.

The New Milton Memorial Centre, in Whitefield Road, New Milton, has been growing into a music and cultural centre for all tastes and will bring some of the best local bands around for a night devoted to punk and metal.

The line-up features The Smokin’ Prophets, Saints of Sin and Western Sand.

The Smokin’ Prophets have a live performance described as eclectic, exciting, unpredictable and dangerous – everything a punk band should be.

They are heavily influenced by legends such as Guns ’n’ Roses, Motley Crue, New York Dolls, Crashdiet and a bit of Marc Bolan.

Saints of Sin are backed up by powerful guitar riffs, shredding solos, and driving drum and bass, taking crowds back to the days of hair metal.

They are influenced by the likes of Steel Panther, Van Halen, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi and Def Leppard.

Western Sand are a southern hard rock group, conceived through inspiration from legends such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Black Stone Cherry.

The event takes place on February 13 and tickets cost £8 in advance, or £10 on the door.

Doors open at 7pm for an 8pm start. For tickets, call 01425 629451
