GRAMMY-nominated saxophonist, Ravi Coltrane, will make a rare visit to Southampton next week.
Ravi – who is the son of Jazz legend, John Coltrane, will play at Turner Simms on Friday, March 13.
A superb musician who has matured into an artist at the height of a career built on his talent, not his name, Ravi Coltrane is a daring spirit and a composer-bandleader of distinction.
He appears at the venue as part of its 40th anniversary spring season, with his talented quartet, featuring David Virelles on piano, Dezron Douglas on bass and Johnathan Blake on drums.
This will be his first visit to Turner Sims.
His visit is part of a small tour which also includes Ronnie Scott’s in London and Leeds – both of which are nearly sold out – so this really is a rare opportunity to see him play.
Tickets: £20, concessions £19, Friends £18, students £10.
