IT is the story of a teenager's quest for love which covered the streets of a Hampshire city.

Posters and chalk messages went up across Winchester earlier this month in the hunt for 'Victoria', an elusive beauty who caught the eye of bumbling romantic 'Ben'.

Now the Winchester University students behind the '#AreYouMyVictoria' campaign have released the music video it was designed to promote.

The surreal clip, for Reading-based rock band The Quotes, shows Ben watching Victoria from afar at P&G Wells bookshop, in College Street.

When he misses his chance to start a conversation, he launches a flyer campaign to track her down.

Student marketing group Buttercross Media splashed the story across the streets, gathering hundreds of well-wishers on social media who thought the flyers were genuine.

But the video ends when wheelchair-bound Ben wakes to realise the story was a dream, brought on by fear that his girlfriend won't be able to cope with his disability.

The students have apologised for the illegal flyering and graffiti which they used to promote the campaign, leaving messages across Stanmore, the city centre and the front of Winchester Guildhall.
