ASPIRING musicians and live music lovers are sure to get excited when a rhythm and blues festival comes to Southampton.
Solid Entertainments brings the Southampton Blues, Rhythm and Rock Festival to the Engine Rooms on Saturday, June 27, with a very special line-up.
Headlining is Hamilton Loomis (pictured below), a man considered at the very forefront of bringing blues to the 21st century, alongside five other top acts in what will surely be a festival to remember.
Born and raised in Galveston, Texas, Loomis is the son of musician parents who influenced his blues, rock and soul sound.
He created his own path and built a loyal following, with his clever song writing, myriad influences and a unique voice, layered with different tones.
Loomis will be joined by Samantha Fish and Sons of Pirates – who have been performing to audiences since 1998 – as well as Ben Poole, Matt Woosey and Red Butler.
Tickets for the event, which goes on from 2pm-10pm, cost £23 and early bird tickets cost £19 – by calling 01472 349 222 or visiting southamptonbluesfestival.co.uk/tickets.html for tickets or more information.
There is also a lift-share option to further save on costs. Visit blog.liftshare.com/festivals/southampton-blues-rhythm-and-rock-festival-dates-and-acts-announced
