FANS of The Drifters music should head to Grosvenor Casino Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth tomorrow for an evening of nostalgia.

An award-winning tribute, Richie Sampson’s – Drifters Tribute Revue captures the magic of the past and reinvigorates a love for rock and roll classics.

The original Drifters, on the music scene in 1953 America, quickly became legends of the USA’s Atlantic Records label.

Their legacy defined a sound of an era and they became known as one of the most successful and enduring vocal groups of all time.

The memory of their heyday is encapsulated by their place in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Performing many of The Drifters’ top hits, such as Under the Boardwalk, Up on the Roof and Kissing in the Back Row of the Movies.

Richie Sampson’s Drifters Revue also write and perform their own original songs which are heavily influenced by the original Drifters.

Richie Sampson has actually performed with long standing members of the Drifters, Ray and Billy Lewis, Butch Leake as well as Roy Hemmings.

Richie helps bring the magic of Motown to the stage alongside his tribute band counterparts.

The Drifters will be supported on the night by ‘Diana Ross’ look-a-like Cherie Jade who has taken her Supremes tribute act across various high profile locations across the UK as well as performing on cruise ships for three years.
