AFTER being absent from the UK for the best part of a year, local band Forleigh are back in Southampton for a sell out gig tonight.

The Joiners will play host to a showcase of their brand new live show.

Tonight's gig and a further September 6 Joiners date will be the last local live shows for some time as the alternative rockers embark on the next leg of their do it yourself world tour.

The self-funded trot around the globe starts with two dream gigs at New York City's famous Bowery Electric at the end of September.

Their high-energy, emotional live show is a blend of ambient indie rock and story driven lyrics and melodies.
