THE long wait is over as Bestival returns to the Isle of Wight.

And the Daily Echo has spoken to curator Rob da Bank to get his must-see highlights from this year's events.

The DJ has picked out seven things revellers shouldn't miss:

The new Slow Motion area:

"It's like a festival within a festival with a whole different vibe. It's a place where you can go and relax after partying your hardest and get back to nature. I don't want to sound like an old hippy , but it will be really spiritual, a real haven of tranquility. Bestival is a great big party and people love that, but sometimes they also want down time and we're trying to reflect that. It came about because we notice our crowd are really looking after themselves and they might want a spot of Bestival yoga!"

The new Commune area:

"That is going to be such a fun area. There's a UV pants party and some really far out stuff!"

The new Love-Bot:

"It's a robot. You go up and stand in front of it with your partner and kiss and it'll tell you how you're getting on! It's interactive and eight foot tall!"

Missy Elliott:

"We're really chuffed to have her. She was a hard one to sign up! It took about six months and she turned us down a few times. She's not that keen on doing a lot of gigs, it was six or seven years ago that she did her last gig in the UK. We're really lucky to have her here. Anyone who saw her Superbowl show will know it's a big big show with so many dancers and special tricks.

The Jacksons:

"It will be wall to wall hits from the four remaining Jacksons"

The act he's most looking forward to seeing:

"Probably Jamie xx who I have loved for years or Tame Impala who probably have my favourite album of 2015.

Top Tip for a Hidden Gem

"Revolution Rides, which is kind of a euphoric form of spinning. It's something that's a bit different that's never been done at a festival before. It's the best legal high you can get."
