ICONIC jazz singer Jacqui Dankworth and her husband, American singer/ songwriter and keyboardist Charlie Wood are bringing their intimate evening of songs, Just You, Just Me to a Hampshire village hall.

In a real coup for the Somborne Sessions, the two sublime voices will be presenting their take on wonderful songs including Autumn in New York and It Don't Mean a Thing at King's Somborne Village Hall on Saturday.

Inspired by classic musical partnerships such as Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, the pair are the latest top class act to grace the fifth season of the Sessions.

Jacqui Dankworth is one of the most highly regarded vocalists in the UK, described by the Sunday Times as ‘one of our finest singers regardless of category’. Her most recent CD, Live to Love, has received stunning reviews. She is also an accomplished actor, her parts having included Cinderella in Steven Sondheim’s London premiere of Into the Woods, Sophisticated Ladies, a celebration of the music of Duke Ellington.

Charlie Wood is the 136th person to receive the honour of a Brass Note on Beale Street, Memphis, Tennessee. His latest album, New Souvenirs (co- produced with Jacqui) is also garnering rave reviews.
