LOUIS BERRY who appears at Southampton Joiners on Tuesday May 17 is looking like the next big thing to come from Liverpool. One of music’s modern fairytales following his signing with Ministry of Sound after just two tracks, Louis has flown from the back alleys of Kirkby in Liverpool and a heroin-addict father to working on his debut LP in Nashville, Tennessee.

With critical acclaim already coming from taste-maker heavyweights including Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Huw Stephens, Clara Amfo, Greg James, 6 Music and John Kennedy at Radio X, Louis continues to blaze one of the brightest independent trails this year, with critical online acclaim from some of the most credible publications in the UK in NME, Vice, The Guardian and Clash.

Louis is the real deal, preaching firebrand rock n roll anthems crafted from the alleyways of Liverpool. New release ‘Nicole’ is a similarly ballsy, no-holds barred ode to a girl who he’s trying to woo. It’s the raw, serrated edge of a voice as well as the rolling stone, wild vibe that’s becoming his trademark that again marks out the strength and significance of Louis’ output.

Recorded in Nashville with production legend Jacquire King (James Bay, Kings of Leon), ‘Nicole’ is the first single taken from his highly anticipated debut album and is set for release June 17.
