MORE than 35 world class concerts feature in the Turner Sims autumn programme.

American pianist Jeremy Denk opens the season in September with a solo recital charting the history of Western music from medieval to modern.

The season also features the launch of the venue's curated Piano Series 2016-17, eight recitals across the year featuring top international performers, including Nikolai Lugansky, Imogen Cooper and Mitsuko Uchida, in the intimate setting of the Turner Sims.

Cellist Natalie Clein also concludes her exploration of Bach’s Solo Cello Suites and Turner Sims International Associate Artists the Vienna Piano Trio return with a four concert series, including Beethoven’s Archduke Trio.

Hugo Wolf’s complete Italian Songbook is brought to Turner Sims in an exclusive performance, presented by three renowned artists: singers Elizabeth Watts and Roderick Williams, and pianist Roger Vignoles.

Percussionist Terje Isungset’s Ice Music creates music from instruments sculpted from ice as part of the folk and global programme which also features concerts from celebrated vocalist Cara Dillon, hardanger fiddle master Nils Økland Band, and the English Premier of Songs from Madagascar, a film screening of a journey across this stunning country.

American jazz supergroup The Cookers are part of a jazz programme which also includes GoGo Penguin, The Impossible Gentlemen, Laura Jurd’s Dinosaur, Marius Neset and London Sinfonietta and Magnus Öström.
