LEARN to sing in perfect harmony with a free new course.

Ocean Harmony, Southampton’s own four part harmony chorus, is starting a campaign to recruit additional singers.

For all men who are completely new to singing or who have not sung for a while, Ocean Harmony is offering a six week Learn To Sing course starting on Wednesday October 12 at Colbury Memorial Hall in Ashurst.

Ocean Harmony welcomes any men who would love to sing in a chorus but have never quite got round to it, or never had the opportunity, or may be a bit daunted by the process.

“Just about anybody can sing” says Dave Poucher from Ocean Harmony “and this course will help you discover your voice and gain confidence as one of a group and in company and harmony with other new members and the existing chorus”.

Learn to sing Barbershop favourites, popular ballads, Sinatra, Ray Charles, John Denver, Swing and exciting arrangements of Beatles’ songs in barbershop style. Also covered during the six week free course will be posture, resonance, singing vowels and consonants and presentation.

The course will be run by Dave Poucher, an experienced barbershop singer.
