EMBRACE, who are currently working on their seventh studio album for release in 2017, are taking a break from recording to play a short run of special Christmas shows this month.

This will include Portsmouth Pyramids tonight ( Friday December 16).

Talking about the run of dates, singer Danny Mcnamara said, “We’d been so busy working on our new album, then playing The Secret Festival in September made us hungry to get out there and play live again. We’re just playing a few selective shows, a kind of Christmas surprise for the people who love the band. And if people want to come dressed up and make the gigs a great big party, then please do so”.

Embrace have had three number one albums in their career to date, selling over 2.5 million albums in the UK alone. Their last album, the eponymous sixth from the Yorkshire band, was a Top 5 chart hit in 2014. Since then, the band have released the Love is a Basic Need EP, exclusively available to fans who attended The Secret Festival in September this year.
